Sorry I haven't updated this in a while - there haven't been many setlist surprises in the last couple of years! I hope to get to it before the Tempest tour starts, but I have a lot of deadlines to get through in the next few months!

What makes Bob Dylan fans so obsessive?Author Adam Selzer (The Smart Aleck's Guide to American History) mixes rock criticism and sociology into a hilarious travelogue as he treks through America, meeting prominent Dylan fans and trying figure out what it is that keeps Dylan's fans coming back to concert after concert - narrowly avoiding certain death (and his creditors) several times along the way. 8/8 - first "Not Fade Away" since 2002 in Buddy Holly's own Lubbock, TX. The song was a regular in shows in the late 90s/early 00s, when covers were much more common than they've been the past few years.

7/15 - live debut of "I Feel a Change Comin' On"

7/10 - live debut of "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'"

7/4 - a surprise opener: a cover of "Yankee Doodle Dandy" by George Cohan!

7/2 - live debut of "This Dream of You"

7/1 - live debuts of "Forgetful Heart" (stunning arrangement and performance, btw) and "Jolene."

5/1 - Bob covered the Beatles' "Something" in Liverpool, his second-ever performance of the song (the last was in New York in November, 2002)

4/17 - Live debut of "Return to Me," recorded by Dylan in 2001.

4/8 - "The Times We've Known" by Charles Aznavour turns up in the setlist for the second time - the first being in November of 1998!

4/5 - first "Po Boy" since April, 2005.

3/30 - first "Dignity" since 2004, in a strange "merry go-round" arrangement that seems to be a one-off.

3/23 - First "One More Cup of Coffee" since the duet with Jack White in 2007 (first version with Bob singing all the verses since 11/1993!)

3/22 - First ever live performance of "Billy!"
